An over-the-top, B-movie-style musical comedy with a score that blends contemporary musical theatre pop with the smooth sounds of the 1950s, Dreamland is a musical riff on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream, set during the declassification of Area 51 marking a very different approach to our season's theme of Shakespeare! The show was originally commissioned by the Educational Theatre Association for the 2019 International Thespians Festival.
The Richland Rock Orchestra enters its Tenth Season as a cutting edge ensemble combining the new with the old. The ensemble features modern rock and electronic instruments alongside traditional string instruments. The group enjoys tackling any style of music from any era.
The Richland Orchestra has previously performed with Pittsburgh-based rock band, The Clarks, on three occasions, Jim Donovan and the Sun King Warriors, Sultans of String, Cello Fury, Mates of State, Mark Wood, and Broadway's Gavin Lee.
