Lighting Positions
FOH:
The Theatre has two catwalks for front of house lighting. The catwalks are exposed to the audience through the acoustical ceiling panels.
First Catwalk:
The first catwalk provides a 42' throw at a 45 degree angle of light at the Plaster Line, contains 16 2.4kW circuits and is normally hung with 12 ETC 41530-B Source Four Zoom Ellipsoidal spotlights complete with c-clamp, color frame, safety cable, 1M lead with 20A GP connector and HPL575/115X long life lamp. There are also 4 Altman 30 degree Shakespeare spotlights for curtain warmers, complete with c-clamp, color frame, safety cable, 1M lead with 20A GP connector and FLK575/115X long life lamp. This catwalk can wash a 40 foot proscenium opening using 6 fixtures. There is one ETCnet connection in this catwalk to expand DMX. The catwalk has two level of pipe battens equaling 77' in length.
Second Catwalk:
The second catwalk provides a flatter angle of light, 62' throw at 60 degree at the Plaster Line, has 32 2.4kW circuits, and is normally hung with 12 ETC 41530-B Source Four Zoom Ellipsoidal spotlights and 6 ETC 410-B Source Four Ellipsoidal spotlights complete with c-clamp, color frame, safety cable, 1M lead with 20A GP connector and HPL575/115X long life lamp. There is one ETCnet connection in this catwalk to expand DMX. The catwalk has two level of pipe battens equaling 77' in length.
Box Booms :
There are 2 Box Boom positions, located directly under the first catwalk. Top of the box boom is 28', throw at 36? and bottom of boom 14', throw at 17degree (see attached floor plan for exact location). Each bar in the box boom is 2' apart on centers with a total of 6 pipes.
The Box Booms each contain 8 2.4kW circuits and are normally loaded with 6 ETC 410-B Source Four Ellipsoidal spotlights complete with c-clamp, color frame, safety cable, 1M lead with 20A GP connector and HPL575/115X long life lamp. These lights are stacked on each ladder rung. Access to the Box Booms are from behind the lights on two separate catwalk floors. There is one ETCnet connection in each box boom to expand DMX.
All FOH circuits are DMX accessible (channels 1 – 64). ETCnet DMX inputs are located offstage SL and SR, downstage SL and SR, at the rear of the orchestra (main floor) seating area, and control room.
