About the Venue

The Richland Performing Arts Center is at the forefront of presenting the arts to Cambria County.  The facility is a unique achievement of vision, initiative, artistic accomplishment, stunning architecture, and technical facilities and features impeccable acoustics. The 887 seat proscenium theater is located at One Academic Avenue, in the Richland High School.  Built in 2007, many theatrical events and concerts performed by both amateurs and professionals have performed on the very stage that we, at Richland, call home today.

The theater hosts performances ranging from school assemblies and community town halls to concerts, musicals, plays, and dance performances.  In addition to seasonal school music ensemble concerts, a typical theatrical season at the RPAC features a Fall Play, a Junior High Musical, a Senior High Musical, a production by Richland's Rock Orchestra, and collaborations between guest artists and Richland student musicians and performers.  The RPAC is also available for outside hire.

The spirit of collaboration has always been a hallmark of Richland, and this facility is no exception. This theater is part of the Richland High School, a unique joint-use facility built in collaboration with the Board of Directors. In addition, the Richland Performing Arts Center allows us to present top quality productions that will enhance the quality of arts education and entertainment available for our local families and for the entire community.

We at the Richland Performing Arts center believe that education is a lifelong endeavor. The arts provide opportunities to use valuable critical thinking skills and explore diverse perspectives. We are extremely grateful to continue to welcome performers from all over our community locally and state-wide, as well as nationally and internationally touring groups to perform on our stage.

The building was designed by the architectural firm of L. Robert Kimball and Associates in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.
