WHAT? OURPAC Cabaret - A showcase of many of the talented students here at Richland. Also a fundraiser for the Richland Theatre Boosters.
WHAT IS A CABARET? From Wikipedia: Cabaret is a form of theatrical entertainment featuring music, song, dance, recitation, or drama. The performance venue might be a pub, a casino, a hotel, a restaurant, or a nightclub with a stage for performances. The audience, often dining or drinking, does not typically dance but usually sits at tables. Performances are usually introduced by a master of ceremonies or MC. - So, we are not quite doing the typical setting for a Cabaret but the concept remains similar. The performances are open ended. Often, show tunes are performed but this does NOT have to be the case. Please feel free to be creative and bring non-broadway and non vocal performances to the table. It can be more of a variety show.
